Jupiter Medical Center takes has introduced the OPTRELL Mapping Catheter developed by BioSense Webster, which allows cardiologists and cardiac electrophysiologists to perform precise ablations on patients with atrial fibrillation (AFib) and other complex arrhythmias.
The catheter’s high-resolution directional mapping allows for efficient identification of arrhythmia sites, reducing mapping time and increasing overall efficacy, according to the company.
Dr Matthew Kolek, an expert in the field of electrophysiology, spearheaded the adoption of the OPTRELL Mapping Catheter at Jupiter Medical Center. As a pioneer in the treatment of complex arrhythmias, Kolek’s commitment to innovation has earned him the distinction of being the first physician in South Florida to deploy this medical technology.
With a range of services and a team of expert physicians, the medical center offers a continuum of care for various heart conditions. The OPTRELL technology represents a significant stride forward in the treatment of atrial fibrillation and paves the way for future advancements in cardiac ablations, according to the center.
